Placer County will host a series of community workshops this month to gather feedback on how to improve the permitting process for commercial and residential project developers – intended to help Placer create a more user-friendly experience and save project applicants time and money.
A series of three workshops, focusing on engineering, building and planning permits, will be held April 18 and 19 at the Placer County Community Development Resource Agency in Tahoe City. County staff and Third Wave Consulting will be present to outline the county’s permitting process and receive the community’s feedback on ways to improve the process. Attached you will find additional information detailing the workshops time, location, etc. as well as a flyer from Third Wave detailing what you can expect at these workshops.
Engineers, design professionals, consultants, contractors, utility agencies, members of special districts and public agencies, and other interested parties are invited to attend. The County is conducting broad outreach to individuals falling into the aforementioned categories. To ensure we have attendance from all interested parties, you are more than welcome to spread the word and extend invitations to others. The general public is also welcomed to attend, although, the discussions to be had will be detail oriented and requires a reasonable understanding of the current processes.
“Input from our community is essential to creating a more streamlined, user-friendly permit process experience,” said Community Development Resource Agency Director Steve Pedretti. “Ultimately we want to improve efficiencies for developers so they can keep their projects moving forward as quickly as possible.”
