MEET THE STAFF
Meet our incredible staff who dedicate their lives to making Tahoe City America’s Best Mountain Town.

Katherine Hill, Executive Director
Katherine Hill moved to Tahoe in 1998 when she accepted the job of Editor of the Tahoe World newspaper. That local publishing career led to her becoming Owner of the Tahoe Guide magazine — a role she still holds, though she’s stepped away from daily operations now that she’s TCDA’s Executive Director. She previously served on TCDA’s Board of Directors for 12 years, including 5 years as its president. She has also served on the North Tahoe Regional Advisory Council, the TBID Advisory Committee, and on the Lake Tahoe Basin Federal Advisory Committee.

Pam Pokorny, Event Manager
Pam moved to Tahoe City fresh out of high school in 1986, from Madison, WI, and fell in love with the area immediately. Over the years, she’s been a competitive snowboarder, raised 3 children, and planned hundreds of weddings and community events. Some of her past work includes managing operations for Snowfest for 10 years, organizing the Tahoe City Lakeside Movie Series, and managing operations for the Tahoe Joy Festival. Her passion for all the athletic ventures this area has to offer is what kept her here originally, but the community is what keeps her passion for Tahoe alive. Pam is looking forward to leveraging her strong local ties and extensive event planning background in service of TCDA’s community-building mission. As Events Manager, she’ll oversee the Food & Wine Classic, Oktoberfest, Concerts at Commons, and 4th of July fireworks celebrations.
This small mountain town girl is exactly where she should be!

Jaimee Saliba, Office Manager
Jaimee grew up in San Francisco and went to UC Berkeley for her BA. She’s lived in the Tahoe/Truckee area since 2014 with her partner and canine companions. Before coming to TCDA, she managed the office at Sunnyside Marina. In summer you’ll find her hiking, backpacking, gardening, and biking along the West Shore.

Sarah Winters Unbound Communications
Sarah Winters is an east coast transplant living in North Lake Tahoe and working within the North Lake Tahoe tourism community for over 12 years. Sarah is a creative and energetic professional, who launched her career in regional event planning before diving into tourism marketing, most recently leading the sales team at the North Lake Tahoe Community Alliance for over 7 years. From here, she took her expertise and started Unbound Communications, focusing on digital, communication, and tourism solutions for small businesses throughout the region.
GET INVOLVED
Formed under the Main Street Four-Point Approach’s guiding principles (Organization, Promotion, Design, & Economic Vitality), TCDA works tirelessly to create a vibrant Tahoe City community, all year long. Join us!

TCDA membership offers a variety of exclusive benefits including discounted advertising, high-profile sponsorship opportunities, and educational and consulting opportunities. In addition to the signature annual events that continue to drive business to Tahoe City, the TCDA supports partner events, boosts volunteerism, and continues commercial programs and advocacy on behalf of our members and community. We are always hard at work planning and promoting our events and services, and there are plenty of opportunities for members to share their time and expertise.

Your sponsorship commitment to one (or more!) of TCDA’s signature events is critical to Tahoe City’s success and vibrancy and will ensure that these events can continue in the coming years. Your business will get valuable exposure to the community. We have many sponsorship options available or we can help you create your own custom sponsorship package.

Because Tahoe City Downtown Association is a not-for-profit organization, volunteers are critical to our success in making Tahoe City a vibrant and prosperous place for local businesses, residents, and visitors alike. We need volunteers of all ages year-round for our events, such as Concerts at Commons Beach, the Fourth of July Fireworks Show, and Tahoe City Oktoberfest. Additionally, if you would like to offer professional services or other forms of support, we’d love to hear from you.
