ABOUT TCDA
The TCDA is a non-profit, 501 C6 corporation comprised of local merchants, property owners, community associations, residents, professionals, and contributors who are committed to working together to formulate, direct, and forge a sound and prosperous future for Tahoe City, the West Shore, Alpine Meadows and the Truckee River Corridor.
We welcome your participation and invite you to get involved in supporting the TCDA and its goals. Your support as a member, sponsor, and/or volunteer is vital to the success of our organization and of Tahoe City. The TCDA Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of each month from September to June and all meetings are open to the public (check the current meeting schedule here)
To strengthen the economic vitality of the greater Tahoe City area by supporting local businesses through advocacy, partnership, education, and action.
- Drive economic vitality for Tahoe City, West Shore and Alpine Meadows businesses, while enriching the quality of life for residents and visitor experience.
- Deepen the collaboration and efficacy with key regional partners, including NTCA, North Tahoe Chamber and Kings Beach District.
- Deliver and grow events that engage residents and visitors, strengthen community, and support the economic vitality of local businesses.
- Deepen organizational impact through organizational and community development.

MEET THE STAFF
Katherine Hill, Executive Director
Katherine Hill moved to Tahoe in 1998 when she accepted the job of Editor of the Tahoe World newspaper. That local publishing career led to her becoming Owner of the Tahoe Guide magazine. She co-founded the Tahoe Literary Festival in 2023 and the Truckee Literary Crawl in 2024, and now serves as its volunteer Artistic Director. She previously served on TCDA’s Board of Directors for 12 years, including 5 years as its president. She has also served on the North Tahoe Regional Advisory Council, the TBID Advisory Committee, and on the Lake Tahoe Basin Federal Advisory Committee.
Pam Pokorny, Event Manager
Pam moved to Tahoe City fresh out of high school in 1986, from Madison, Wis., and fell in love with the area immediately. Over the years, she’s been a competitive snowboarder, raised 3 children, and planned hundreds of weddings and community events. Some of her past work includes managing operations for Snowfest for 10 years, organizing the Tahoe City Lakeside Movie Series, and managing operations for the Tahoe Joy Festival. Her passion for all the athletic ventures this area has to offer is what kept her here originally, but the community is what keeps her passion for Tahoe alive.
Jaimee Saliba, Office Manager
Jaimee grew up in San Francisco and went to UC Berkeley for her BA. She’s lived in the Tahoe/Truckee area since 2014 with her partner and canine companions. Before coming to TCDA, she managed the office at Sunnyside Marina. In summer you’ll find her hiking, backpacking, gardening, and biking along the West Shore.

Because Tahoe City Downtown Association is a not-for-profit organization, volunteers are critical to our success in making Tahoe City a vibrant and prosperous place for local businesses, residents, and visitors alike. We need volunteers of all ages year-round for our events, such as Concerts at Commons Beach, the Fourth of July Fireworks Show, and Tahoe City Oktoberfest. Additionally, if you would like to offer professional services or other forms of support, we’d love to hear from you.
As a long-time Tahoe City resident and business owner, I’m proud to be part of TCDA and all they are doing to revitalize our town. Clever marketing campaigns, really fun special events, and strong advocacy for Tahoe City!
