2026 Tahoe City Fireworks Show | Michael Eadington, The Eadington Gallery

Tahoe City’s Fourth of July fireworks are a longtime community tradition that draws thousands of people to the greater Tahoe City area for the holiday. Now, the Tahoe City Downtown Association is asking local businesses to help demonstrate the economic impact of the fireworks and support the future of the show.

TCDA has launched a brief Fourth of July Fireworks Economic Impact Business Survey to learn how the holiday and fireworks affect local businesses, including changes in sales, customer traffic, reservations and other business activity.

All survey participants will be entered in a drawing for 2 Beer Garden tickets to the Sept. 19 Oktoberfest. Fill out the survey by Aug. 27.

The survey also asks businesses how important the fireworks are in attracting visitors to Tahoe City, whether the economic benefits extend beyond the businesses surrounding Commons Beach and what impact businesses could experience if Tahoe City no longer offered a Fourth of July fireworks show.

The information collected will help TCDA quantify the economic benefits of the fireworks, demonstrate the level of support among local businesses and strengthen future fundraising and funding requests.

Local businesses throughout Tahoe City, West Shore, Lake Forest, Alpine Meadows and the greater Tahoe City area are encouraged to participate.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete.
