Silk Painting with Louise Noel

Join silk artist Louise Noel for a one day journey into the brilliant and joyous realm of silk painting. We will paint a scarf, using the Serti (closed-fence) method of silk painting. An assortment of patterns are available for students to choose from. In this session, we will use various resists, dive into vibrant color, play with surface treatments, and use alcohol and salt to create texture and movement. Steam setting will be provided for your finished scarf so that you can proudly wear or display your art. Students go home with an additional scarf, stretcher and dyes to make a second scarf.

No previous experience necessary. All materials included.
