You’re invited to take part in B4BC’s 15th Annual Skate the Lake presented by Suja, a 28 mile Skate-Bike-Roll-athon that raises awareness and funds for B4BC’s education, prevention and survivorship programs. Skate the Lake runs along the majestic shores of Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Truckee River The event is a collective ride for breast cancer awareness and prevention, that attracts skateboarders, longboarders, rollerskaters, bikers, and bladers (essentially anyone on wheels). Participants are encouraged to ride in honor of a loved one who is or has battled breast cancer. All ages and abilities are encouraged and welcome.

Please help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 for B4BC’s outreach, education and survivorship programs in addition to supporting local cancer support facilities like the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Community. Here’s how you can get on board:

FRIDAY, AUGUST 16th: REGISTRATION KICK-OFF PARTY
2PM – 8PM | Commons Beach | Tahoe City, CA

Please join B4BC athletes, friends, and staff as we celebrate the Tahoe community and those dedicated to skating for the cause! Highlights include: Live music by local musicians + special guest DJs Raffles + Silent Auction + Live Art Yoga Session Beer Garden + Good eats Register at this celebratory kick-off event! There will be food and drinks, a silent auction, live music, and more!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 17th: SKATE THE LAKE!
8:30 AM (SHARP!) – Meet in the 64 Acres parking lot in Tahoe City
Skate, Bike or Rollerskate 28-miles along the Lake Tahoe bike path
(3) Hydration Stations along the way
Celebration and awards ceremony at the finish at Commons Beach, Tahoe City!

Please note: All participants are required to sign waivers. If you are under 18, you must have signatures from a parent or legal guardian and wear a helmet. Please acknowledge that HELMETS ARE MANDATORY and that a participant who fails to adhere to this helmet advisory does so at his or her risk. If you are under 18 you will NOT be allowed to participate without a helmet—NO EXCEPTIONS.
