NOTE: There is an alcohol ban on the Truckee River from July 1-6. As well, alcohol restrictions will be in place at Zephyr Cove and Shoals, Meeks Bay, Round Hill Pines and at other select beaches over the holiday weekend.

July 4th fireworks viewing options
The 78th Tahoe City Fireworks Show will be at 9:30 p.m. from a barge off Commons Beach on July 4. The fireworks will be visible from the shoreline in Tahoe City along the Lakeside trail, William B. Layton State Park, and Tahoe State Recreation Area. Viewing is also available in Lake Forest from the beach on the North Shore. Filtered views are available at Kaspian Day Use Area (Hurricane Bay) on the West Shore. For those more adventurous, you can hike on the Tahoe Rim Trail above Tahoe City for a spectacular view.
