Tahoe City’s Annual Oktoberfest returns to town Saturday, September 26th, 12 pm – 5 pm at Commons Beach.

Featuring craft beers from some of the region’s best microbreweries, live music, great food, traditional Bavarian-themed games, and a craft vendor village.  Check back soon for details on the 2020 event!

The 2019 celebration welcomed all ages with the fun & funky music of Lumbercat and traditional Oktoberfest-inspired tunes by accordionist Robert Ludgate.  We welcome back Lindsay “with an A” as our official event MC.  Children attending Oktoberfest are invited to paint a pumpkin with North Tahoe Arts. Pumpkins will be free (first come, first served), and art supplies will be provided.

Participating breweries & other beverage companies included;  Lagunitas, Alibi Ale Works, Fifty Fifty Brewing Company, Auburn Ale House, Sierra Nevada Brewing, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Common Cider, Kona Brewing, and Boochcraft .  Wine provided by Tahoe City’s favorite winery, JaM Cellars.  Lots of tasty food will be available for purchase from Men Wielding Fire, Tahoe Fuller’s, Big Blue BBQ, Rubshack, Eats Cooking Company, Mogrog and ice cream from Little Truckee Ice Creamery.

Our craft vendor village featured vendors included; Fresh Air Clothing, Stasher Headwear, Elizabeth & Marin, Tahoe Heartbeat, Stirling Studios, Eurca Distribution, Tahoe Mountain Soap Company, Smiley Kit Beads, Tahoe Longboards, SquishybebeTamacino Jewelry and Be a Gourmet. Community booths at the event will include; the Tahoe City Cub Scouts, North Tahoe Arts, as well as a bake sale from the Lake Tahoe Dance Collective promoting their upcoming holiday event, Tahoe Nutcracker.

Offering a stunning backdrop of Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe City Oktoberfest takes place on the shores of North Lake Tahoe at the Commons Beach. Featuring craft beers from some of the region’s best microbreweries, delicious local grub, Bavarian-themed games, a craft vendor village, live music, games, and more — you won’t want to miss this festive fall celebration!

Oktoberfest Reminders

  • The Tahoe City Oktoberfest is a rain or shine event. We are watching the weather closely, and preparing to have additional pop-up tents and heat lamps as needed. It is recommended to dress in layers and watch the weather.
  • Parking is limited. We encourage you to ride your bike, walk, carpool, or take TART. There’s a TART stop conveniently located right at the venue. Click here to view the TART schedule.
  • If you’re driving to the venue, please use the public parking lots. Click here to view public parking lots. The Commons Beach Parking Lot will be closed for overnight parking on 9/28.
  • Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed given that our event is at Commons Beach.
  • Come to town early to stroll through + shop at our local Tahoe City businesses.
  • Come in costume!!!
