Amie grew up in Pacifica (bay area), lived in Santa Barbara (and aboard in Paris) while studying at UC Santa Barbara, and moved to Tahoe/Truckee over five years ago.
As a lifetime animal advocate, Amie began her college studies in marine biology/zoology with the career goal to become a dolphin trainer. However, after an unsettling job at Marine World, Amie decided to study people instead – psychology.
With a passion for skiing, Amie moved from the coast to mountains to work for Sugar Bowl Resort and eventually as check-in staff for Tahoe Luxury Properties. Amie’s drive allowed her to quickly move up at TLUXP, to operations and eventually to agent, under the mentorship of owner Bill Dietz.
Amie loves her job and Tahoe City because of the people – her clients, her colleagues and her community – a community filled with recreation (hiking, skiing, boating), culture and lots of happy dogs!
When not working, you can find Amie exploring the pristine east and west shores, dining at Wolfdale’s or River Grill, volunteering for Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA board member/ Tahoe City Oktoberfest, Oct. 1 Co-Chair), writing real estate columns for Moonshine Ink, managing the lively Truckee/Tahoe People Facebook group or planning her wedding to best friend, Cliff Costa, which sets sail on Tahoe Sailing Charters Tahoe Cruz September 10.
If looking for a new home or a new friend, look no further than Amie Quirarte, voted 2016 “Runner-up” Real Estate Agent in the Sierra Sun-North Lake Tahoe Bonanza Best of Truckee/North Lake Tahoe. This young mover and shaker is definitely making a name for herself in Tahoe City & beyond. Amie is simply amazing!
