Meet Bill Dietz, President of Real Estate/Principal Broker at Tahoe Luxury Properties & Tahoe City local.
Born and raised in San Rafael, California, Bill spent his childhood visiting Tahoe City with his best friend. After high school, Bill spent a “gap year” as a ski instructor at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. They couldn’t turn him down, especially because he wore a tie to the interview.
Eventually Bill attended college at UC Davis, only two hours from the mountains and on the quarter system, allowing him to continue working winters at Alpine Meadows.
With a new History degree in hand, Bill moved back to Tahoe, working summer construction/trades jobs and 15 total years at Alpine Meadows – where he met his wife Kelly Faye Dietz in 1990.
After realizing a need for quality home rentals in North Lake Tahoe, Bill and Kelly opened Tahoe Luxury Properties in 1994, with only one rental. Now they annually manage 160 premier vacation rentals in California and Nevada, 40+ employees and nearly $100 million in real estate sales, helping Bill become North Lake Tahoe’s #1 real estate agent in 2014 & 2015.
Bill is proud his humble beginnings and the organic growth of Tahoe Luxury Properties, providing stable job opportunities to his amazing team, and helping his clients buy a piece of their dreams – in Lake Tahoe.
When not working, you can find Bill skiing, mountain biking, wakeboarding, exercising (& jump roping!), serving as a Board of Director for the Tahoe City Downtown Association or traveling with his family, Kelly, Ellis and Chaney.
Bill looks forward to many exciting projects coming to Tahoe City – including the Tahoe City Ice Rink, Tahoe City Lodge Project and Fanny Bridge Revitalization Project. Making Tahoe City even more awesome, just like Bill!
