clare-fosterIt’s #facesoftahoecity Friday. Meet Clare Foster, Special Education Support Staff for Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, Photographer, Writer & Tahoe City Local.

Before moving to Tahoe City 27 years ago, Clare was born and raised in the home her mother grew up in, 30 miles outside of NYC in Scarsdale, New York. Clare moved away to attend Vermont’s Goddard College and eventually graduated in English from The Evergreen State College in Washington.

Over the years Clare has worked in many exciting fields, including property management for 12 years, as an instructor of poetry/creative writing, as a photographer for Tahoe Onstage, Concerts at Commons Beach, Tahoe City Downtown Association and others & as a published author of three children books…with two more in the works!

“The Poetry Lady” finds her perfect balance by combining learning alongside her amazing students with her passion for photography, creative writing, and music. Clare truly loves every minute of her “heaven on earth” life in Tahoe City – especially when listening to good music!

When not working, you can find Clare photographing (& enjoying!) North Lake Tahoe & Blackwood Canyon, dancing to live music, sipping her morning coffee at Tahoe City’s The Dam Cafe or spending time with the loves of her life, her children, Robin and Josh.

If you ever need a photographer, look no further than Clare “Bear” Foster. Clare will bring out your inner light & more importantly make you smile!
