Our Purpose

We all want the same thing — thriving businesses year-round.
We achieve that by working together to:

  • Elevate the visitor experience

  • Increase visibility of local shopping & dining

  • Create reasons to stay in town longer

  • Promote Tahoe City & West Shore

What TCDA is Doing

To deliver on these goals, TCDA is coordinating community-wide winter promotions including:

  • Destination marketing campaigns for Tahoe City & West Shore

  • Monthly printed event flyers for storefronts & lodging partners

  • Advertising in targeted markets

  • Business newsletters with updated opportunities & resources

  • Seasonal events that boost evening activity downtown

How Businesses Can Help Us All Succeed

Be Consistent: Stay Open Later

  • Evening activity depends on open doors.
  • Through winter on Fridays & Saturdays: stay open until at least 6 PM

Create a Holiday Experience

  • Decorate storefronts for winter & Christmas

  • Offer a little extra: hot chocolate, a selfie backdrop, raffle, live music, small giveaways

Communicate With Us
