TCDA is in support of the proposal (Measure A) to reauthorize the 2% TOT in North Lake Tahoe.

Visitors pay to help improve and maintain the parks, beaches, bike trails, and other quality of life services both residents and visitors use. Learn more about Measure A and other Election information.

This generates about $4 million annually for our local region and has helped fund projects such as:

Lakeside Trail, Tahoe City Golf Course/Winter Sports Park, Tahoe City Transit Center, Night and Seasonal TART Services, and MUCH more!

Based on a 2021 Placer County Community Survey, 71% feel North Lake Tahoe has a “great need” or “some need” for additional funding to provide local services. The survey also showed that residents feel we need to address more housing options affordable for our local workforce.

We need to continue addressing these community priorities for TOT funding such as:

Local bike and trail maintenance, Removing trash and litter from streets/public spaces, Maintaining public parks, beaches and shorelines as well as Reduction in traffic congestion

As shown in the 2021 survey, there was an 81% initial support for this TOT ballot measure.
