Getting around North Lake Tahoe is easy, convenient, and car-free this season with a variety of free and affordable transportation options:

  • TART Connect offers on-demand, app-based shuttle service across Tahoe City, the West Shore, Kings Beach, Incline Village, Olympic Valley, and Northstar. 
  • TART Park & Ride provides free weekend shuttles between Tahoe City and The Village at Palisades Tahoe. 
  • Mountaineer offers free, on-demand rides within Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows all winter. 

TART Connect On-demand Shuttle Service

Zone 1 – FREE*
Tahoe City, Sunnyside, Homewood, Tahoma & Carnelian Bay

Kings Beach, Brockway, Crystal Bay, Tahoe Vista & Carnelian Bay

*Beginning at 6 p.m. daily, passengers can cross between the Tahoe City and Kings Beach zone without making a request for a second vehicle at Carnelian Bay.

Park & Ride: Tahoe City to Palisades Tahoe 

Skip the drive and ride in comfort this winter with the free TART Park & Ride shuttle between Tahoe City and The Village at Palisades Tahoe Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 6 to April 12, with expanded service during holiday periods. 

Shuttles depart from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. from the Tahoe City Transit Center (180 W. Lake Blvd.) and return until 5:45 p.m.. The Park & Ride shuttles only drop off at The Village at Palisades Tahoe.

Mountaineer Service: Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows
