The Tahoe City Downtown Association is happy to announce that we will have our very own snow queen candidate running in this year’s SnowFest Queen Contest! We would like to introduce you to Miss Willow Parks!
Willow Parks is the SNOWFEST Queen candidate for the Tahoe City Downtown Association(TCDA) She and her mom moved up from Berkeley in August 2013 so she could start High School at North Tahoe High School. She lives in Tahoma with her mother; Jane, a dog; Ziggy, 2 cats and a guinea pig. She loves being in the mountains and near Lake Tahoe, She is a snowboarder and paddleboarder. Her favorite classes at North Tahoe are English and Engineering Tech. She would like to pursue her interest in creative writing after high school.
Her passion is singing and she takes voice lessons at Tahoe Music Institute and performed at the MADE IN TAHOE festival in Squaw Valley in May 2014 and at the North Tahoe Events Center for Tree lighting ceremony in December 2014.
She loves to work with small children and has volunteered at the Berkeley YMCA summer camps. She has also volunteered with SKIDUCK, the Ski/Sport Swap and volunteers with the TCDA helping with various events such as; Tahoe City Clean Up day, 4th of July Fireworks, Oktoberfest and Concerts at Commons Beach. She loves living in Tahoe and being part of the Community.
