All TCDA members and interested community members are welcome to attend TCDA board and committee meetings.
Design Committee
The Design/Historic Committee is charged with maintaining and enhancing downtown Tahoe City’s character and identity. The Design/Historic Committee helps lead the community vision for future Tahoe City planning efforts with our agency partners. Members are responsible for providing design education and technical assistance to TCDA members, as well as providing design regulation and review at the community partners and regulatory agency level. Committee projects have included: historic design features for Heritage Plaza; Tahoe City gateway signage; Seasonal Holiday lighting; and creation of the Tahoe City Historic Walking Tour.

Events Committee
The Events Committee is charged with developing and maintain Tahoe City’s signature events; with a focus on drawing visitors and residents to the Downtown Business District. Members are responsible for special events oversight and production; promoting Tahoe City events through events calendaring, website and grass roots marketing; sponsorship solicitation for specific programs; and working with the Marketing Committee to get the word out about our area. Each event has it’s own sub-committee including: Concerts at Commons Beach, Tahoe City Solstice Festival, Oktoberfest, 4th of July Fireworks, Tahoe City Holiday Hop and more.

Marketing & Promotions Committee
The Marketing and Promotions Committee leads the implementation of the Downtown Business District’s overall marketing strategy. Members are responsible for enhancing the district’s image locally and regionally including association and Tahoe City branding and creation/maintenance of www.visittahoecity.com. Committee projects include: the revised Tahoe City Walking Map; production of membership window decals; creation of the overall marketing strategy for events and activities; and TCDA event (i.e. – Concerts at Commons Beach) branding and promotional merchandise.

Executive Committee
The TCDA Executive Committee is comprised of the associations leadership, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Past President. Members are responsible for overall operations of the association; financial planning and monthly review; staff direction and oversight; regional and local agency and partner relations; and long-term strategic planning. Under the Organizational arm the entire Board of Directors acts to promote the TCDA to the community at large and to association stakeholders through the merchant membership program. Directors act as advocates for the TCDA and encourage new businesses and non-member businesses to join the TCDA through the annual Membership Drive.

Restaurant Committee
Specifically focused on restaurant owners, managers and employees. The Restaurant Committee seeks to involve those in our community who own, work or manage food and beverage industry businesses. Restaurant Committee members are tasked with creating and managing promotions, co-op marketing and advertising opportunities, and special events highlighting Tahoe City’s dining options. Committee members work very closely with the Events and Promotions Committee to plan, organize and host year-round events and activities.
