Romance returns – with Russian sparkle – in this concert highlighting two cultures; Ekaterina Semenchuk and the orchestra present French composer Chausson’s mystical Poem of Love and the Sea, while in a brilliant opening, the orchestra shines with Balakirev’s Russian Folk Themes and finishes the concert with flair in Tchaikovsky’s joyous and upbeat Symphony No. 2, Little Russian.
