Eric T. Brandt’s EP Release Party and Benefit for Alzheimer’s is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Pete ‘n Peters in Tahoe City, California. The event begins at 6 pm, with a suggested donation of $20 for entry. Attendees can also participate in a raffle, with donations accepted via cash, Venmo, or the event website. Brandt will donate the proceeds from the event and album sales to Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative disease research.
The evening features various activities:
- 6:30-7:00 pm: Brandt’s presentation on Alzheimer’s and Timothy Drury’s behind-the-scenes talk on the EP creation.
- 7:00-9:30 pm: Live music by singer-songwriter David Lutz and the Beer Gardeners.
- 9:30-10:00 pm: Performance of Brandt’s EP What You Left Behind.
- 10:00 pm till close: DJ Chango takes over.
What You Left Behind is a heartfelt EP blending classic rock with country and Americana, inspired by Brandt’s personal experiences with love, loss, and his health journey. Despite his diagnosis, Brandt continues to write and play music, finding it cathartic. He hopes to leave a legacy through his music, touching on themes such as positivity, joy, and life’s challenges. The EP was produced by Timothy Drury and recorded in Brandt’s Tahoe City studio. Brandt is well-known for his long-standing presence in the Lake Tahoe music scene, notably through his band the Beer Gardeners and his past work with Warren Miller Films.
