It’s that time of year again to bring out those paintbrushes, color pencils, and craft supplies! This year, our theme is “Leave No Trace.” There are seven principles of Leave No Trace that help ensure that nature and our parks stay beautiful for generations. Pick your favorite principal, or draw them all!

The 7 Principles are:
1. Plan ahead and prepare
2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces
3. Dispose of waste properly
4. Leave what you find
5. Minimize campfire impacts
6. Respect wildlife
7. Be considerate of other visitors

Any media is welcome – digital or painting, drawing, etc.

Submit entries to [email protected] or you can drop off submissions at Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center,
open 7 days a week 10 am-5 pm.

Winners will be announced at the EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
at Palisades on April 23rd.
