Learn how to create your own mandala using basic geometry and drawing tools. Participants will learn to draw the structural background in order to map out designs and will have time to draw and color individual patterns.
The mandala is an ancient religious and non-religious symbol found in many cultures and throughout history. Mandalas represent the flow of existence – a beginning, a middle, and an end, which leads to another beginning. The smallest atom is a mandala, as is an area as vast as our solar system. The mandala is universal. It does not belong to either the east or the west. We can find it in our own center. And while mandalas are found in many cultures there may be some external differences, but in the center they are all the same – they all unite.
