Truly connect this Valentine’s Day by taking your loved ones skiing or snowshoeing at Tahoe XC. On Friday, February 14th only, couples who buy tickets together get the second ticket for only $20! Since kids under 19 always ski for free, we encourage families to participate also.
What do you mean, Share the Love?
Nordic skiing is a wonderful activity for couples to do. How many of you have partners who want to Nordic ski, or you want them to try Nordic skiing, but you haven’t had the chance? This is your opportunity to finally try the wonderful sport of cross-country skiing together.
Here’s how it works:
On Friday, February 14th, ski with someone special and look for hearts hidden around the trails.
1. While skiing or snowshoeing, take pictures of each heart you find on the trails. (Bonus point for selfies with you, your partner, and the heart in it.)
2. Post your pictures on Instagram and/or Facebook using both hashtags #sharethelovetahoe and #tahoexc in your caption. (Bonus point for following Tahoe XC, liking our page, and also tagging Tahoe XC as your location.)
3. The couple or family who skis to the most hearts AND gets the most cumulative likes on their photos wins a special prize!
Trick of the trade: There’s spotty service on our trails, and yes we’re encouraging you to take pictures while skiing, but first and foremost enjoy your ski or snowshoe, enjoy the people you care about. You may not want to, or be able to, post pictures while skiing, so we won’t start counting hearts on social media until the next day. We’ll tally the total number of cumulative likes the following Friday.
We want you to spend this day outside, whether it’s on a first date, second date, or five-hundredth date. Share the love this Valentine’s Day by sharing the gift of cross-country skiing. Cost: Buy one ticket, or show your Tahoe XC season pass, and get the second day ticket for only $20
Registration: None. This is a fun, self-guided event in which you can participate at your leisure, so long as you’ve purchased a Tahoe XC trail pass.
Participation includes skiing at Tahoe XC on February 14th with your loved ones and snapping pictures of trailside hearts. As the event date nears, we’ll give hints about how many hearts are out there and how spread out they may be.
