The Tahoe Maritime Center Wooden Paddleboard Building Class returns this June 2018. Build a Kaholo Paddleboard in a week!
The course will use Chesapeake Light Craft paddleboards, which are built from marine plywood using a stitch and glue method. TMC is honored to have Larry Froley, from Gray Whale Paddle in California and Kaholo paddleboard co-designer, as our instructor for this course.
Participants will choose from either the 12’6” board (better for smaller paddlers), or the 14’ board (better for larger paddlers). Participants will also have the choice to build prone paddleboards – the San O’ 14’ or 16’. We can help select the proper board. These boards are great for touring or even racing, as they each fit in common race categories.
Sign up today! Space is limited to 6 boards. Minimum of 4 participants. Please register by May 12th, 2018 to secure your place and allow time for material shipping. Once registration is full, we will start a wait-list.
