On Thursday, November 14th, Alpenglow Sports is pleased to bring back local guide and series co-founder Dave Nettle as the first speaker for the 14th annual Winter Speaker Series, presented by Peak Design. Located at the Olympic House at Squaw Valley, doors for the event will open at 6PM and Nettle will take the stage at 7.

Admission for Nettle’s show, ‘The Journey or the Destination?’ is free of charge. Raffle tickets and beverages will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to Adventure Risk Challenge, the non-profit beneficiary of the evening.

‘The Journey or the Destination?’ will pull the audience along for the ride as Nettle takes a humorous look at the many methods of approach he has used over the years to various climbs around the world. With accounts from his most recent trip to East Africa and ascents of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya, Nettle argues that the journey of getting to a mountain or a remote alpine wall oftentimes can be as challenging, rewarding, and fun as the ascent itself.
