“How does the landscape shape us, and how do we shape the land we inhabit? What images from the world around us speak to our personal stories? How can we better advocate for the places we love? In this workshop, we will explore our relationships with the living world through storytelling. Participants will read examples by nature writers such as Terry Tempest Williams, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Aldo Leopold, Ursula K. Le Guin; respond to prompts and writing invitations; craft their own short fiction and/or essays; and offer each other feedback. Whether you have a writing practice of your own, or are new to writing creatively but are seeking a more meaningful connection with the natural world, this course is for you.”
