Refine technique while exploring artistic growth, with an emphasis on individual attention.
Dancers ages 10+ are invited to spend three weeks with Lake Tahoe Dance Festival collaborators and teachers studying technique and repertoire to be performed at the Festival performances alongside Festival artists. The intensive is aimed at refining technique while enhancing and promoting the artistic growth of participants. Ballet, pointe, improvisation technique, and modern classes will be offered at two levels.
Classes will be held Monday-Friday in intermediate and advanced levels. Each day will consist of two technique classes, interchanging Ballet, Improvisational Technique, and Modern. Placement and casting will take place the first day of classes. There will also be one repertoire class each day where participants will learn choreography to be performed in the Lake Tahoe Dance Festival.
