There are plenty of free parking options available on your visit to Tahoe City

While most businesses have parking available to their customers, if you want to make a day of your visit to Tahoe City you may prefer to park in one of the public lots and enjoy a leisurely stroll through town.

Street Parking

There is public parking available on both sides of the street on Hwy. 28 however parking is limited to 2 hours during peak seasons.

Jackpine Public Parking Lot

The Jackpine Public Parking Facility, located in downtown Tahoe City provides parking for approximately 40 vehicles.  A great place to park if you plan on spending the day on the lake.

Grove Street Parking Lot

Located at Grove Street behind Fat Cat Cafe’ this is a centrally located parking lot that has access to all the best Tahoe City dining and shopping.

Visitor Center Parking Lot

Located at the “Wye” where HWY 28 begins in Tahoe City this is a great place to park if you want to stop in the visitor center for information about the area.

Commons Beach Lots

Located on the lake side of Hwy. 28 just past the “Wye”, Common’s Beach upper and lower parking lots are the place to park if you want to spend the day at the beach.

Tahoe City Transit Center / 64 Arces

Located just south of Fanny Bridge and the Tahoe City “Wye”.  The Tahoe City Transit Center has a public parking area as well as access to public transportation, the Truckee River and the bike trail.
