Small businesses in Placer County that missed the first and second rounds should not hesitate to submit an application to receive $2,500. The Micro Biz grant is for small business owners whose business revenue was less than $50,000 in 2019.

To qualify, businesses must have five or fewer employees and have been operating since the end of 2019. Please note that there are additional eligibility requirements. You are urged to review the simple requirements prior to submitting an application.

The program includes a total of $412,500 in funding* from the California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant Program. The first round awarded $137,500 to 55 recipients and the second round awarded $45,000 to 18 recipients. With $230,000 remaining, Placer County has decided to reopen the program on an ongoing basis in an effort to distribute as much grant funding as possible to eligible, small businesses.

The Sierra Small Business Development Center, which is administering the program, will facilitate the funding and can help prepare applications, confidentially and at no cost.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thank you for your interest in this program!

*The program is funded in part through a grant from the California Office of the Small Business Advocate.
